This is a great gadget. It is large and can cope with quantities but the small bowls are useful when less is needed.
I read other reviews and agree that the "SPILL" of food bits and liquids from one bowl into another when using the smaller bowls is irritating.
I have grated potatoes for rosti, grated bread and chopped herbs into it for seasoned breadcrumbs and sliced citrus fruits for marmalade with ripper results.
Ordinary mixing and beating is yet to happen.
It is strange that they didn't make a gadget holder that held ALL the gadgets.
Design faults aside, I'm thrilled with mine. It does great things and it looks grand and I've always wanted one.

Used this for about a month now and really impressed. It's robust and reasonably compact when stored, and in use it does the job in a second.

Only a few small complaints – it's a bit fiddly to construct the appropriate combination although I'm getting more used to it now, the blades could be labelled more clearly but again it gets easier to work out which is which, the container for the accessories isn't big enough to accomodate everything – especially as there was an offer of 2 extra blades – so i will have to buy a tupperware box.

Complaints aside i am really impressed and use it all the time – i was worried that after a few weeks it would sit unused in a cupboard but that isnt the case at all.

Returned to a magimix after using a cheaper food processor – the quality is great as ever. I find the three bowls a little fiddly, for me two would have been enough. Tried it for Christmas cake – wasn't sure how it would perform as I used a stand mixer in the past but the result was excellent. My main problem is not being able to get accessories in Spain. The combination of this and a quality hand blender for small jobs has replaced all my other gadgets and freed up worktop & cupboard space.

I have had this machine for just over a year & I love it, I don't actually think i've got to grips with all the things you can do with yet, still things to learn. My kitchen would not be the same without it!

A good bit of kit, and luckily we bought when the xmas offer was on and the price was substantially lower.

    Do you really need XL?

I've had this processor for a year or more now and like it. When I bought it I was choosing between the standard and the XL, and went for the XL thinking it did everything the standard one did, and more. In actual fact I would prefer the standard one, as I only use this for baking, making pastry, making sauces etc and not for processing vegetables. The big funnel is only useful for processing big pieces of vegetables, but I use a knife and chopping board for that. The XL top adds another piece which then needs to be washed, and also creates more air space for flour etc to escape when making pastry. So consider whether you really want the big spout, or whether the standard one is really what you want. Other than that, a good machine.

I researched food processors very carefully and for quite a long time before I made my purchase.

I have only had this item for nearly four weeks and already could not do without it.

It chops, mixes, blends effortlessly and the extra wide spout lets you throw in vegetables and ingredients with minimal preparation.

I make scones and cakes in minutes and prepare all of my vegetables for batch cooking in the blink of an eye.

    Brilliant!
